Shirley Temples + Muddy Buddies

Happy Hump Day! We are still stuck inside with two little people with runny noses and hoping tomorrow we can be outside (and at the beach, I need a tan) to enjoy this sunshine in February! Aden is sleeping longer than he has the past couple days and it was the perfect time to feel a little festive while feeling better with my girl! We love any excuse to celebrate! I have never made muddy buddy anything and now I know why ... it is like crack! I cannot stop eating it and if it had pretzels/peanuts I would be eating it for breakfast, lunch and dinner and every second in between. So we cheered to a little girl time and to being lucky to love!

This week I have a fun breakfast planned for my favorites, a balloon dance party, drawing everything we can think of on the sidewalk and a day at the beach for Valentine's Day. I love any excuse to celebrate my three favorites and cannot wait to give them extra kisses and lots of hugs! Adie and Aden are the cutest when they play together and when they laugh together I swear Mommy tears start coming and I feel like I am doing something right.

What you'll need for a fun afternoon snack with your little Valentines:
Shirley Temples: 7-up/Sprite; grenadine; cherries and cute straws
Valentine's Day Muddy Buddies: 9 cups Rice Chex cereal; 1 cup white chocolate chips; 1/4 cup butter; 1 teaspoon pure vanilla; 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar and 1 cup plain and peanut butter M&Ms.

I used crushed ice and pour 1 ounce grenadine then your lemon lime soda, topped with a cherry and use your favorite straws.
Valentine's Day Muddy Buddies: In a large bowl, measure cereal and set aside. In a small microwaveable bowl, microwave chips (30 seconds) add butter, mix and continue to microwave (30 second intervals). Pour in vanilla, mix and pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly spread. Pour into foods storage plastic bag. Add powdered sugar, seal bag and shake until well-combined. Add in M&Ms and stir. And eat until it. is. all. gone!

Adie loves when I do anything super festive. She gets so giggly and talks my ear off and it makes me get giggly and excited I am her Mommy. She tells everyone she got me from Peek Kids, that everyone has tough poop that you just have to shake out (I almost peed myself laughing when she told me this while she was shaking her legs and her little face bright red) and I will never get tired of hearing her tell me she loves me so much. It makes spoiling her so easy and I just want to give her the world. XO!
