Jalapeno Popper Bread Bites

I look forward to the Super Bowl all season long for the commercials and the yum food! With football starting this weekend I have the perfect game day food! I love anything with spice and these Jalapeno Cheesy Bread Bites are just that! You will love it, because there's cheese, spicy jalapeno dip topping oh and more cheese! This cheesy garlic bread is ridiculously easy to make and even easier to eat! These are the perfect bite of creamy jalapeno popper dip mixture, covered with cheese, baked and so absolutely addictive and delicious! Total man food or game day food ... you decide!

Jalapeno Popper Bread Bites

1 loaf of Italian bread
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup pickled jalapeno slices, divided
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut bread into thin slices.
Brush each piece with melted butter. Sprinkle with garlic powder.
Cover with aluminum foul and place in oven.
Bake for 5 minutes.
While those are in the oven ... dived jalapenos. Save the pretty ones for the top and chop the rest.
In a medium mixing bowl, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, chopped jalapenos, salt & pepper.
Remove bread from the oven, uncover.
Spread the jalapeno dip mixture on the bread, dividing equally between the bread slices.
Top with cheese.
Arrange the reserved jalapeno slices over the cheese.
Place bread in oven for 2-4 minutes to melt the cheese.
Remove from the oven and place on cooling rack, let cool for a few minutes.
Serve with your favorite beverage.

*to get golden brown melted cheese, place bread under the broiler set on low for 20 seconds. Watch the bread while melting the cheese and remove from oven once reached desired look.
