Weekend + Sparkling Lemonade

The weekends always seem to fly by with our guy and we are getting closer to our little stud's arrival! This weekend we went to pick out Adie's big girl bedding from our favorite place and they didn't have the exact colors we wanted but we ended up with this stinking cute unicorn that she named HAPPY! Seriously the best name she could have ever come up with! And now they are BFF's and I wanted to give it to her for her birthday but she will not let her go, which is what I get when you go shopping with Adie! I think it will look perfect on her big girl bed which I think we finally picked one out after doing some research and shopping and reading a ton of reviews! Cannot wait, her bedding will be here this week since we ordered it from PBK and I cannot wait to snuggle her in it! And fingers crossed she doesn't want to party all night instead of sleep!

I went through Adie's everything in storage this weekend too and I cannot believe how much stuff we have just in two and half short years! And since this summer we are having a little stud, it all must go, besides a few things I will keep for her! Eric had his usual sand volleyball kickoff Saturday while I tried to recover from the storage adventure. Adie was obsessed with being outside and she even got her first kiss from the sun which has me so excited [duh] for summer! So looking forward to so much! We went to our favorite breakfast place ever ... The Original Pancake House and I always well usually get french toast which they never ever disappoint especially for this pregnant Mommy! Adie s still obsessed with bacon and orange juice! She is so into taking our orders all the time, she comes up to us and says food! Let's you order and then tells you you want orange juice and then walks away! Such a fun age ... just like every other age! Of course our weekly Target run while I picked up a few things for Sunday while Adie gave the best kisses ever!

This strawberry lemonade definitely sparkles! This sparkling strawberry lemonade is the perfect, sweet and refreshing drink for spring or summer. You and your friends and family will love it! I promise! Wonderfully sweet, tangy, refreshing and bubbly. Plus, it’s so easy and inexpensive to make right at home! A big pitcher of lemonade seems like the perfect drink for summer barbecues and outdoor gatherings! And I could easily live off of lemonade especially once we are beach bums all year round and getting sun-kissed on a daily basis!

What You'll Need:

For The Strawberry Syrup:
1 1/2 cups of chopped strawberries
2 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons cold water
pinch of salt

For The Lemonade:
1 cup of very hot water
2/3 cup sugar
1 1/4 cups freshly squeezed lemon juice
4 1/2 cups cold sparkling water or club soda

To make the strawberry syrup, combine the strawberries, sugar, lemon juice, water and salt and puree in a food processor or blender. Puree until smooth, Pour mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove the seeds or you can totally keep them. To make the lemonade, combine the hot water and sugar in a pitcher. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Mix in the lemon juice and water. Stir in the strawberry puree. To serve, rub the wedge of a lemon around the rim of your favorite glass and dip in sugar. Fill with ice and then your sparkling lemonade. Garnish with fresh strawberries or lemons and serve to your favorites!

Eric always teases me about taking pictures of everything! He calls it blogger vision! Taking pictures of drinks is so much easier than chasing my Adie babes around and hoping to capture the perfect moment! This drink was a perfect match to the best Spring weather to date and spending it with my two favorites! Adie is always a fan of my new drink recipes and she made sure we all tried it even her little Peach Princess!

She is so full of energy and smiles and I am so trying to keep up being 32 weeks pregnant and feeling like all I want dozens of cookies, gallons of milk and hours of napping! We got his week to check up on baby brother and hopefully get a new picture of him to put up on the fridge! Adie is still insistent we name him Puppy and she always gives him high fives which seems more like slaps to the belly! I was getting ready for church Sunday while Adie was jumping on our bed and when I walked by with my bare belly she giggled and said "Hi Baby"! I cannot wait to see her with our little stud and the bond they will always have!

Hope you guys are having a sparkling start to your week!
