Strong is the New Skinny

Waking up early is no longer who I am but totally who I want to be! I used to wake up early to go to work but Dr. Pepper kept me going at 6 am and now I haven't been drinking it unless we go to our favorite Mexican restaurant, which I think tastes better with a cola! Adie hasn't been taking naps anymore (let's hope its a phase) so she sleeps in late and I mean I am getting her up out of bed at 10 o'clock! I know, right?!?! Lucky me gets to sleep in, but really it sets the whole day up for laziness! Eric wakes up at 5 o'clock and I usually stay up late so I can go back to sleep after he leaves for work but really I should be getting up and setting the mood for the day! In an idea world I would love to have worked out, have an uninterrupted shower, actually get ready and make breakfast all before Adie wakes up so I am ready for whatever we decide to do. Otherwise it's another hour before we even think about getting out the door and she crashes in the back seat and makes for another late night of laughs and five more minutes every time we tell her it's bedtime! Plus I have been making all of my Dr. appointments before 9:30 which I will totally dread if I don't have a better schedule! So I have just about five months to get this under control before our little stud gets here and it'll be completely chaos if I don't!

When I think about strong being the new skinny it makes me think mentally too not just physically! I am think I am pretty strong when it comes to carrying Adie who weighs 32 pounds and getting my own biceps but when it comes to my thoughts and outlook I am not! It has been the hardest thing I am working on this year! I know once I get to that confident strong mind full of happy and gratitude my life will change drastically! Which is why I need those mornings to self reflect and breath and work on me and who I want to become not just getting a ton of beauty sleep! Which I think our little stud is a night owl just like Mommy!

So for now I will take every day one at a time just like Adie is with this whole potty training thing! Got a few things to make workouts a little more comfortable and found a prenatal yoga class to take and of course a fun dance class for our babes! I just need a half hour of a little sweat (maybe) and a clear mind for a day worth being proud of! I cannot wait to get in a habit of feeling energized and ready for toddler adventures and soon the summer will be here with our little stud and I'll need all the energy I can get! I have been loving my nutritional shakes that are super healthy for me and baby and not to mention super easy to whip up in our busy life! So I still have time for a new strong Mommy and the time is now!

Cheers to working out with my little stud!
