DO IT YOURSELF MASK

I have been breaking out lately probably due to the lack of beauty sleep and the Dr. Pepper I have been drinking by the gallons!! Adie literally wants to party from two am until the sun starts to come up at 6 o'clock and I am ready to shoot my head off! I have never tried a DIY facial or mask not to mention going to a day spa either! So I did a lot of research and what would work with me! So I put Adie down for her nap and whipped up this DIY mask and so far I LOVE IT!!! I will probably do this mask once a week then I will switch to something to maintain a summer glow. :)

Nutmeg can actually help you achieve smoother and healthier skin by helping you treat several skin problems. A scrub made from nutmeg powder and orange lentil powder can help you remove blackheads and contains mystristica fragrans which is a fancy name for mace. Mace has super strong anti-fungal and antibacterial activities which means it will work as an astringent and anti-inflammatory so basically, nutmeg will help with acne scars and reduce swelling around clogged pores which will help decrease the size of your pimple!

Honey is naturally antibacterial, so it's great for acne treatment and prevention. Also it is full of antioxidants, it is great for slowing down aging. It gives a complexion boost and it is extremely moisturizing and soothing, so it helps create a glow. Honey is clarifying because it opens up pores making them easy to unclog. Basically it also helps rid your skin of bacteria but it also helps attract and retain moisture which is of course, super good for your skin! Hel-lo HONEY!

Cinnamon brings the blood to the surface of your skin, which means it helps to plump your skin and tone up your face. It helps to dry out pimples and bring blood and oxygen to the surface.

I totally tried to put this on with a beauty brush and failed big time! I found it best to just use your fingers and dab and smooth over your face! Before I started I cleaned my face with an exfoliate scrub [sometimes I use sugar ... leaves my face seriously so smooth] and then put the mask on dry clean skin. It tingled a bit but nothing I couldn't handle, pain is beauty right?!?

2 teaspoon of honey | two tsp. of cinnamon | 2 teaspoon of nutmeg

Mix until blended and apply to clean dry skin! I left it on for 30 minutes and washed off with warm water and moisturized after! I totally felt like Gracie Lou Freebush in Miss Congeniality for the entire 30 minutes but instead I drank a Dr. Pepper! Hopefully this is exactly what my skin needs and here's to younger healthy looking skin! :) Let us know your beauty tricks, I would love to try them!

No post is complete without this babe! :) Hopefully we all get the beauty rest we need and after dinner outside, playing in the sand and splashing in the hot tub I have high hopes! Just love her so stinking much even at two am!!!
